A Midsummer Night's Dream, Brown/Trinity MFA Program 2010

The world created by the Brown/Trinity design team for Shana Gozansky's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" was a land of bathtubs...seven cast iron ones, to be exact! Working with the idea that this play is all about being a little reckless and getting dirty, only to come clean as one's truest self, I found seven bathtubs and filled them with different elements (dirt, water, vine-balls, fabric, props, leaves, and a tree). The vine balls were all handmade by me from twisted grape vine. I also made a large blanket of knotted green fabric for Titania's bower.
