STAGE BLOOD
BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON - Arm Bleed
Bleeding arm effect for "Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson" at Speakeasy Stage. Rigged enema bag inside actor's costume with tube leading to shirt sleeve guided by elastic band loops. End of tube was crimped with a small, easy to remove clip. The actor released the clip while the actress helped by pressing the bag on his side, causing the blood to flow out.
Blood used was a homemade recipe with corn syrup, dye, chocolate syrup, and coffee whitener. This was chosen for budgetary reasons and for the best washability while being safe for faces (they kissed and rubbed the blood in each other's faces after this...!)
